- Connect to the Internet.
- Login to your Hotmail account by entering your user name and password.

- Home Page
- Your "Home" page opens. You can view the amount of storage you are currently using.

- Compose Tab
- Next, click on the "Compose" tab. (Click on thumbnails for larger view.)
- The compose screen will open. This screen might have the HTML tool bar turned on if "Rich-Text Editor" is set to "On". If so, it will look like this (see 3b.).
- Turn the "Rich-Text Editor" to Off by selecting it from the drop down list.
- Your screen will now show that the HTML tool bar has been turned off.

- Options
- Click on the "Options" link to take you to the Options screen where you will selection the "Signature" link.

- Signature
- Click on the "Signature" link to take you to the screen where you will add your html tag for your animated signature.
- Your screen should now look like this. If the Html Tool Bar is visible, be sure that there is NOT a check mark in the "Show the rich-text toolbar" box.

- Html code
- Type in the Html image tag with the correct URL to your animated signature graphic. (Replace only the blue text in the example with your the URL to your graphic).
- Next Click on the "OK" button.

Don't know the URL to your image on YOUR site?- Go to your web site or internet photo album.
- Location the page or animated signature that you will be using in your email.
- Do a "right click" on the image, then select "Properties" from the context menu.
- Find the URL address to your image.
- Drag your mouse over the address to highlight it. Important: Copy the complete URL. Sometimes the complete address is not visible, so you will have to make sure that you highlight it all by moving the mouse to the every end till it stops. Now just copy by doing a CTRL C (control + C keys) to copy it. Click the "OK" button to close the Properties dialog box.
- You can now paste the address into your Hotmail signature as in 6a.b. above, by doing a CTRL V (control + V keys) to paste.

- Return to Options Screen
- After clicking the "OK" button, you will be returned to the "Options Screen".
- Click on the "Compose" tab again to take you back to the compose page.
- Turn on the "Rich-Text Editor" by clicking the "Tools" drop down arrow and selecting "Rich-Text Editor On".
- Your should now see your animated signature moving.

- Complete your message.
- All that is left to do is to complete your email message then click on the "Send" button. Try sending yourself a sample message to see your animated signature in action!
