Create A Seamless Cloud Tile
Using Photoshop

Part 1 - Seamless Cloud Tile
Many have written in asking for instructions on creating a seamless cloud tile. The only trick you need to know is that Photoshop WILL render a seamless cloud tile if your set your image width and height to 256 pixels (256 x 256). Using that image size will ALWAYS render a seamless tile no matter what colors you choose. You can always reduce the size when completed, but you may loose some of the cloud detail.

So, to make this tutorial more interesting, I have added instructions on how to create and add your own Texture Fills using your newly created cloud tile.

I have divided the tutorial into 3 parts. Part 1-Create the Seamless Cloud Tile. Part 2-Create the Texture Fill. Part 3-Apply the Texture Fill.

  1. With Photoshop open, start a new image,
    1. set the Width and Height to: 256 pixels: 256 x 256.
    2. set the Resolution to: 72 pixels.
    3. set to Mode to: RGB.
    4. set the Contents to: White.
NOTE: Image will be seamless ONLY IF image is a 256 pixel square.
